The Renewed Hope Agenda prioritizes restoring peace and stability across all regions by strengthening the military, improving intelligence systems, and addressing the root causes of insecurity such as poverty and unemployment. For the diaspora community, security is essential to encourage return, tourism, and investment. A safe Nigeria means safer communities, thriving businesses, and improved quality of life. The government also emphasizes community policing and collaboration between citizens and security agencies. As a diaspora advocacy group, we must support policies that promote peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and social cohesion. We can also use our global networks to share best practices and support initiatives that foster stability. Without security, development cannot succeed—making this pillar foundational to all others.
